When the Lord talked about numbering our days, I don’t think He was talking about the count-down to moving into the apartment. But I am. Where did the time go? We are down to 16 days. I am definitely not ready. We have done a lot, let me tell you but so much more to do. The upstairs is pretty good. The grandkids helped us out taking a lot of the furniture. Fred sold some on the “Marketplace” online. I am still having a heart problem with the little things; memories can be tricky. I mean you can see a button in a drawer and remember a sweater one of your kids wore when he was 3. Of course, you throw it away, after all he is 47. 😊 Ok, that was an extreme example but I am sure you get my drift. Especially, since half of the house we are living in is the one I was raised in. I can still sense my parents and sisters here. In each room a story, some history of an event that took place here. The Lord was very good to me. My parents came to the Lord late in life but they raised me in the best Christian/Judeo way known to them, the 10 commandments. I don’t remember them ever arguing in front of me. I sure they did because my mom was a redhead and dad was stubborn. My sisters and are were close in age. Ruth is 5 yrs. older, Nancy 2 ½ yrs. and then I arrived. Sorry I don’t mean to reminisce so much. Anyhow, we moved here when I was 2. When mom passed, wow, it will be 20 yrs. next month, it was decided I got the house. So, we enlarged it so we could have a huge great room to have family get-togethers. Now the kids have their own homes and they share in the festivities. Isn’t it funny, we need the big house when the kids are small then by the time you can afford one, the kids are grown and then you don’t need it…. Seems like we just need to trade!

The family is doing fine. Autumn and Kelsey both had baby girls. I think Fred felt like Steve Martin in that movie Father of the Bride 2. He was running from room to room checking on the girls. Really quite cute. Ended up around 11 hours apart. Myla (Autumn)and Kikyo (Kelsey) it’s Japanese. School is starting up again. Zac, Jeremy’s eldest starts his senior year at KU and planning a wedding to Julia in December. Faith’s eldest, Becca, had a baby boy this year, Wells, so adorable. Vanessa’s eldest is Calvin, he is 9 and an avid writer. He even types his books, quite an imagination. I had already mentioned Autumn had a baby. She is Summer’s eldest. 😊 I thought I would just go with a note about the firstborn and not overload you with all the rest of the tribe LOL. Fred has been to the doctor and he got thumbs up for his broken arm. So thankful. Finally, some great news. His doctor was smiling widely. Now we are dealing with the broken vertebrae. He received a cortisone shot in his hip after having an MRI. It really helped for a few days but didn’t seem that long lasting but maybe he felt so good he overdid it. Who? Fred???

The ministry keeps on going. We are so thankful and grateful. Fred is on the phone constantly with our PALS. (partner and leader servants). Ruby, one of the PALS from Pakistan is coming to the states in September. She is going to stay with us for ten days. I can’t imagine the culture shock that will hit her. She will be our first guest in the apartment. Oh, my goodness. (I just watched 3 Shirley Temple movies, hence, the term). We are amazed how faithful you all are in your giving. There are so many great ministries out there to share with, thank you for choosing us as one. It is difficult with all that is going on not to think this is the “last days”. Scripture says it will wax worse and worse (2 Tim 3:13) and it has but for the grace of God and the prayers of His saints, it would be over. 1 Thess. 5:4,5 says, “But, brothers and sisters, you don’t live in the dark. That day won’t take you by surprise as a thief would. You belong to the day and the light not to the night and the dark.” Satan would come as an angel of light. Wow, he is devious. 2 Thess. 2:9 says, the man of sin will come with the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous and wonderful signs. But they will be lies.” God is love but there is balance He hates sin. The world doesn’t like that part. It is like the billboard selling liquor, all glamourous, etc. But the other side of it doesn’t show the ramifications of it on families. There is so much hate going on. If you don’t agree with someone then it is impossible to have a relationship. That is ridiculous. What happened to disagree agreeably? Let’s end on a good note!

God our Father loved us and by His kindness gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope. Together with our Lord Jesus Christ, may He encourage and strengthen you to do and say everything that is good. 2 Thess. 2:16,17 Much love and gratefulness to you,
